Year 4

In Science and PSHE we will be thinking about our brain and how it helps us to learn. We will explore the best ways for us to learn through our Brainwave topic so we are more prepared to face big challenges and work together as a team. We will also think about how to record our learning and how we’re getting on through experimentation.

In English we are focusing on a book called ‘Secrets of a Sun King’. We will be using the book as inspiration for our own writing and begin to write for different purposes and audiences. These will include newspaper reports, diary entries and description.

In Maths we will be looking at how we can use our understanding of place value to help us add and subtract. We will also be exploring how to partition and order numbers up to 10,000 by using number lines and place value charts.
